The Sunrise SC Senior Program: The Path to College and Beyond
The Sunrise SC Senior Program is geared towards all players born from 1998 to 2004. The Senior Program is instrumental, because it is where college exposure begins and the tactical growth starts to advance to the next level. The Senior Program allows players to compete on a state, regional, and national stage.
All the Senior Program players train between 3-5 days per week. In addition to team practices, the club provides weekly college seminars, speed and agility, technical skills and goal keeping training sessions. Training sessions are performed by the Sunrise SC Professional Training staff. Every Senior Team is assigned a professional trainer and coach, but there are many instances where different trainers run sessions (to encourage learning from different personalities). Sunrise SC Senior Staff follows training sessions that mirror our training philosophies and curriculum.
To be a part of the Sunrise SC Senior Program, every player goes through an annual tryout process in the month of May/ June for the following annual season. Players are selected onto teams based on their appropriate skill level and in some instances are double rostered onto teams within their appropriate age groups to accommodate the growth of development. Our goal is to not turn away any child that is willing to be a part of this program. We may have multiple teams in an age group to help further every player’s development
The Senior Program features the following opportunities:
- The Olympic Development Program
- US Soccer Federation Trainings
- College ID Clinics
- Top competition in the Nation’s best leagues
